
The Public Education & Awareness Program focuses on raising awareness of disability issues and promoting education among the general public on disabilities.
The Counselling & Advocacy Program mandate is to promote positive change for people with disabilities through support for each individual’s access to services and opportunities.
Disability Benefit Applications & Appeals assists with applications for benefits under, and appeals of Canada Pension Plan Disability, PEI Disability Support Program and Income Support.
Information and Referral Service provides information and directs individuals and groups to appropriate community services.
The Community Development Program involves people with disabilities in community and civil society and provides support for developing disability and self- help organizations.
Disability Advisory Committees (DAC's) address issues of local concern and work with municipalities & communities. The committees consist of local people with disabilities and provide peer support and networking opportunities as well as skills development workshops. There are 5 DACs operating in Queens, East and West Prince, East and Southern Kings counties.
